Warm beaches, white sands, renowned Chef’s opening new gourmet restaurants every week, museums and art, running and biking trails, and too many award-winning golf courses to count, are just the beginning of why Naples, FL was named the best place to retire on Livability.com’s 2018 list.
To determine Naples’ #1 standing as the best place to retire, Livability.com analyzed all U.S. cities with a population between 20,000 and 300,000 and removed places that reflected a high cost for healthcare. Data sources included the U.S. Census Bureau, Medicare, ESRI, USDA, and NOAA. Information gathered covered community engagement, quality of healthcare, recreational activities, number of 65+ residents, air quality, climate, property taxes, and assisted living options among many other factors.
Other cities that made the list were found across the U.S. in South Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, Washington, California, Texas, Tennessee, Arizona, and Arkansas.
While retirement may look different for everyone, we can’t think of a better place to enjoy life at any age than in our beloved and golden paradise of Naples, FL.
